Built on part of an existing foundation, the new house has an exposed steel frame structure with glu-laminated beams and 2×6 decking. Plaster walls and channel glass stair enclosure. A large industrial skylight with operable sections tops the three story open plan. Custom designed steel railings and art hanging system which use the flanges of the steel beams as part of the support system. Exposed concrete walls and floor on lower living level, which connects to a dock on the Sheepscot River. Exposed oak frame barn/garage from trees harvested on the property.
