The new Center for Environmental Education Building provides a home for the Environmental Education and Outreach programs of the Chewonki Foundation. Located a short distance away from the existing camp tucked in the woods, the new building also serves as a place to introduce the public to the many other activities and programs offered by the Foundation. The building provides flexible and adaptable rooms to accommodate a number of functions and uses. The new structure makes use of resource efficient materials and systems continuing the tradition at Chewonki of appropriate buildings with a positive relationship to the environment.
